Sugar & Butter is a blog dedicated to helping regular people achieve extraordinary things in the kitchen. Here you will learn about new ingredients, cooking techniques, equipment, and interesting things going on in the food world…all laced with a little self-deprecating humor and fun.
S&B was created by me, Heather Misner (formerly Cummins), a mostly normal, graduate-student, DC-residing, 20-something. My dream job would be to teach people how to cook, maybe open up a small bakeshop where everything would be served with champagne, and give all my leftovers to my local homeless community.
Currently, I live in Arlington, VA with my husband, Ryan. We have a little fish named Chaz and enjoy getting to know our neighborhood more and more each day – especially the hot food spots!
